As apart of the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012, the energy efficiency tax credit was extended to December 31, 2013. Eligible efficiency technologies include water heaters, furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, and central air conditioners. Take advantage of these tax credits before they expire. The eligible tax credits equal 10 percent of the total purchase up to $500 lifetime maximum.

To qualify for these tax credit opportunities, new HVAC systems must meet the SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficient Rating) requirements. To find which HVAC units and water heaters qualify for the tax credits, call Empire Heating and Air Conditioning at 404-294-0900. We install all eligible efficiency technologies related to this tax credit including water heaters, furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, and central air conditioners.

In order to receive the credits, you must file IRS tax form 5695. Make sure you keep all receipts pertaining to the installation and purchase of the new equipment. As apart of this tax credit, Empire Heating and Air Conditioning will provide you the equipment manufacturer certificate stating that the equipment qualifies for the credit.
